In this study, children's games in Hatay, which has developed a unique culture in its thousands of years of history, are discussed, the contribution of children's games to children's development is examined, the role they play in the development of children's communication skills is discussed, and the character of Hatay children's games is explained in particular, and their contributions to life knowledge and communication skills are emphasized. Within the scope of the study, the relationship between games and children is also discussed, and the role played by children's games in child development is determined. The role played by children's games in the development of children and in the acquisition of communication skills is revealed with research-based results, and the effects of games in different societies on the development of children and the acquisition of communication skills are stated. Original children's games played in the Hatay region were evaluated within the scope of qualitative information and their contributions to child development and communication skills were explained. It was stated that Hatay was a city with a different character, the northern extension of Mesopotamia, and children's games were shaped accordingly. Although the fact that the subject of Hatay children's games has not been researched much except for a few studies caused a resource problem, field studies conducted in villages and districts provided important data. While the study has a qualitative character, the aim was for the findings obtained in the study to form the basis of a documentary film.
